YNG+ iLAB: Innovation and Disruption Powered by Harvard 2017 I

So nice we did it twice! The first iteration of iLab this year kicked off in February for university graduates. With 5 YPO member companies and 32 YNG+ members, this is the next phase of business innovation.

Powered by Harvard Business School’s new digital platform, HBX, and taught by none other than HBS’s Clayton Christensen – one of the world leaders of innovation and growth in business – YNG+ participants get the chance to innovate in a real life business situation, while member companies receive forward-thinking advancements from top millennial minds. Through six weeks of disruptive strategy learning, YNG+ers will create a live case study for each YPO member company to implement into their business.

iLab II for university students begins in June.

YNG+ @ YPO Harvard Spouse/Partner Program 2017

The YPO Harvard Spouse/Partner Program 2017 exposed YNG+ers to case studies, the advantage of the Harvard network, and provided them with specific learning and tools to further their career and take their organization to the next level. YNG+ers learned how to define business initiatives, attract capital and talent, and use the power of negotiation – for new or existing businesses. From
applying financial tools for business analysis, planning and management in today's environment (globally and locally) to analyzing frameworks for meeting the challenges of an entrepreneurial initiative and the challenges encountered by leaders who face significant change, this program helped YNG+ers enhance their competitiveness in the global marketplace.

YNG+ @ YPO EDGE Vancouver 2017

For the very first time, nearly 75 YNG+ members attended YPO's premier global conference, the YPO EDGE in Vancouver, Canada. From speakers like Arianna Huffington to William Shatner to Justin Trudeau, YNG+ers took advantage of the best of the best that YPO offers. YNG+ers also had the chance to see some of their fellow YNG+ members on-stage in break-out sessions with The Merlin Project and YPO LAB (Leaders Across Borders).

YNG+ers helped to set the Guinness Book of World Records for most people using virtual reality technology at one time (more than 1,000 people!).

The Merlin Project @ YPO EDGE

From nearly 100 applications, 22 participants took part in a four-month virtual acceleration for entrepreneurs, with learning from the professors who built the entrepreneurship program at Columbia Business School. Each participant was individually mentored by a YPO member to help them take their business to the next level.

Four were chosen to showcase their business innovations at the YPO EDGE 2017 in Vancouver, Canada. See the full session here and learn who the winners are here

YNG+ True North

Nearly 50 YNG+ members headed up to Whistler, Canada to take advantage of acres of fresh powder and Only-in-YPO speakers. From hearing from how to push past your limits as an Olympian, to exploring Whistler and Blackcomb mountain from first tracks to last lift, this weekend was a Whistler experience like no other. YNG+ers strapped on their helmet to fly down the Olympic bobsled course and raced through the Callahan Valley on snowmobile.

YNG+ Saya Sa El Nido

YNG+ members from around the world converged on Palawan Island for an exciting program incorporating a host of exceptional resources sharing their expertise on entrepreneurship, family business and the art of pursuing passion. From island hopping to sunset cruises, this was a chance for young adults to create lasting friendships and forge the crucial connections necessary to take their 20s by storm!

YNG+ 20 Something 20 Everything

This dynamic program, led by Christine Hassler, enabled YNG+ers to gain skills critical to navigating one of the most crucial periods in life, and come away with greater confidence, clarity and inner strength.

The weekend also provided young women with an Only-in-YPO opportunity to learn first-hand from role models in life success: female members of YPO, who will share their experiences and knowledge with participants. Networking with these YPO legacy women led to lasting connections, and true growth for our YNG+ers!
